Cheshire Hall explains Monday power outage at hospital

Providenciales, 06 Oct 2015 – Late Monday afternoon electricity was restored at the Cheshire Hall Medical Center according to the Public Relations official, Takara Bain, after being off for about 90 minutes.

The humidity in the building demanded that water be given out to patients in an effort to keep them cool and hydrated and Bain says, the back-up plan would have been to transfer patients to the Cockburn Town Medical Center in Grand Turk.

It is the second power failure at Cheshire Hall reported in recent months; it was explained that FortisTCI was working with the hospital to figure out the power failure. Generators did work, but only for a short time.
