Providenciales, 01 Jul 2015 – For the first time and since mid-month June, United Airlines has been flying direct from Chicago to the world’s #1 island, Providenciales.
The TCI Tourist Board said the flight, which is four hours inbound, leaves Chicago O’Hare Airport Saturdays at 10:40am; and just over three hours outbound departs Provo also every Saturday at 1:49pm.
Noel Smith, United’s National Account and Leisure Sales Manager credits this second addition of a UA flight this season to the demand for Turks and Caicos as a tourism destination.
Ralph Higgs, Tourist Board Director explains: “We are extremely excited to partner with United Airlines on its first ever nonstop service out of Chicago to Providenciales. The direct route will provide easy access for our visitors, add further convenience, and offer excellent connections to feeder cities in the Midwestern United States.”
