Providenciales, 14 Apr 2015 – Middle Caicos got a new clinic on the weekend. Government Ministers, including the Premier were on island for the ceremony which saw a $375,980 investment bring about a state of the art health care center for the country’s largest island. It is called the Alsada Hall-Malcolm Primary Health Care Clinic and features: waiting room, reception area, dispensary, observation room, treatment room and handicapped outfitted bathrooms.
The clinic also houses space for dental services and day rest for visiting physicians and nurses. New Health & Human Services Minister, Premier Rufus Ewing was joined by his predecessor, Hon Porsha Smith in cutting the ribbon on Friday past… Premier Ewing said: “Access to high quality primary health care (PHC) services throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands, remains a top priority of this Government.” The refurbishment and expansion of Middle Caicos Clinic was jointly funded by the Caribbean Development Bank, Basic Needs Trust Fund Programme Sixth Programme and the Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
