Providenciales, 02 Dec 2014 – The tender process for the new government high school to be built in Long Bay Hills is said to be still open. Government had announced it would extend the time; the Minister of Education and Deputy Premier Akierra Missick in a recent press conference had expressed disappointment that there were no bids up to that point. Yesterday, the PDM confirmed that there are three bids in for the job now. The delay had reportedly been that the money for the project was insufficient.
Apart of the budget supplementary is a move to get $1.6 million dollars more for the construction of the school. Hon Clarence Selver of the PDM said the government is playing games, that he questions whether they can ever deliver on their budget and that the administration, due to its late budget lost four months within this new fiscal period.
