Providenciales, 19 Mar 2015 – When the Turks and Caicos walks onto the Mondo track in St. Kitts this year for the 44th CARIFTA Games, we will be represented by 17 athletes, most of whom are no stranger to the regional athletics meet. Members of the squad are: Courtney Missick and Ken Reyes, who will join the team and are now studying at Jamaica College; Wadly Jean, Dacliche Clervil, Keshawn Lighbourne and Malik Higgs of HJ Robinson High; Darly Francois of TCIPS; Woodens Corvil and Helcyann Sauver of Raymond Gardiner High; Colby Jennings, Jevoy Knight, Wilkinson Fenelus, Myonique Prospere and Daria Coakley of Clement Howell High; Khambrel Caley of Wesley Methodist and Akia Guerrier and Sanadia Forbes of British West Indies Collegiate. The Turks and Caicos last year learned it lost its bid for the 2016 Games to be held here to Grenada, despite backing from The Bahamas. The Games will be carried live on line and take place Easter Weekend. The Wine Cellar has for the past two years now donated Golf & Fishing Tournament earnings to offset expenses of Team TCI’s travel.
