Turks and Caicos, September 25, 2024 – The Office of the Deputy Governor is pleased to announce Ms. Judith Robinson’s appointment as a Senior Program Officer within the Ministry of Health and Human Services.
Ms. Robinson brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Her career in the Fitness and Sports industry, coupled with her leadership roles in Government and Private sectors, positions her as a seasoned professional. Her service as an Ambassador in Athletics, as an athlete, coach, and manager for various national and international sporting teams, further underscores her commitment to health and wellness. Ms. Robinson’s leadership is also evident in her roles on numerous boards locally, regionally, and internationally, including The Sports Commission Board, the Turks & Caicos Maritime Heritage Federation for Sailing, the Board of Governors of Maranatha Academy in TCI, and the Providenciales Branch for Single Parenting within the Gender Affairs Department, Northern Caribbean University in Jamaica, and the Central American and Caribbean Sports Association (CACA) World Athletic Sports Planning Committee.
She also held the position of Senior Sports Development Officer at the Turks & Caicos Islands Sports Commission, where she assisted in birthing the Inter-Primary School Track and Field sports, revised the Inter-Island High School Track and Field events, and helped establish the Inter-School Softball and soccer competitions. She later served as Acting Director of Sports from 2012 to 2018.
Ms. Robinson’s academic qualifications further enhance her expertise and include a Diploma in Fitness & Nutrition from Scranton Pennsylvania International School, an Associate Degree in Sports Therapy from Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York, along with certifications as a Fitness Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor for Seniors from the American Sports and Fitness Association. She has also completed a certification in Digital Marketing from The University of Edinburgh.
Ms. Robinson’s commitment to professional development is unwavering. She has completed various certificates in Child Protection in Sports and multiple sports certifications. Her training in leadership and mentorship for both youth and adults further demonstrates her dedication to the field. Currently, Ms. Robinson is pursuing further certifications with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), World Health Organization (WHO), and other health organizations to ensure she remains at the forefront of health resources and strategies.
Ms. Judith Robinson shared her thoughts on her new role: “I am very honoured and excited to be given the opportunity to render wider service in an area where my unwavering passion for empowering our country’s citizenry in health and wellness lies. Indeed, the gifts and abilities that were given to me enable me to educate and promote what is needed for my Turks and Caicos Islands, which I love. I am eager to embark on this journey and serve my country with dedication and commitment. I want to take this opportunity to thank the Turks & Caicos Islands Government for giving me another opportunity to serve and to my biggest supporters and cheerleaders, my family, especially my children Xavier and Jewel.”
