#Castries, St. Lucia – Monday June 11, 2018 – No bombs were found in the bags of any passengers travelling through St Lucia’s George F.L. Charles Airport; officials confirmed this on Saturday after a French couple claimed that they planted bombs on the tarmac.
An eyewitness account explained that the couple reacted in the most extreme way to overweight charges levied by an airline on their baggage. The man and woman was said to be leaving St. Lucia, en route to Martinique when they made the assertion which forced the temporary closure of the airport on the weekend.
The Bomb Disposal Team investigated the claim, but found that there were no explosives.
The French couple are currently being held for questioning.
