GENERAL SITUATION:  THE COMBINATION OF A MID TO LOW LEVEL TROUGH IN THE VICINITY OF THE SOUTHEAST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS ALONG WITH A FRONTAL TROUGH ACROSS THE EXTREME NORTHWEST BAHAMAS WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT UNSETTLED WEATHER OVER THE ISLANDS.

 SPECIAL WARNINGS: RESIDENTS CAN EXPECT LOCALIZED FLOODING DURING HEAVY AND PROLONGED RAINFALL EVENTS IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS. MARINERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR WATERSPOUTS…BOATERS AND BEACHGOERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT BEACHES MAINLY ALONG THE NORTHERN AND EASTERN SHORELINES.

ADVISORY: SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS…A SMALL CRAFT CAUTION IS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS.   BOATERS SHOULD ALSO BE ALERT FOR GUSTY WINDS AND HIGHER SEAS IN OR NEAR HEAVY SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS.

WINDS: EASTERLY AT 20 TO 30 KNOTS OVER OPEN WATERS IN THE NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS…EASTERLY AT 15 TO 20 KNOTS IN THE SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS.

SEAS: 8 TO 12 FEET OVER THE OCEAN IN THE NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS…4 TO 7 FEET OVER THE OCEAN IN THE SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS.
