WHY IS THE CHURCH SO  QUIET?

Published

on

#TurksandCaicos, February 16, 2022 –
1. Even though  a number of Pastors spoke with the Premier, and wrote to him about the new Protocol Restrictions on the church, we did not let the country know where we stood on the issue.
2.The reason why it was done in secret by the government is because they know the power of the church.
3. All the government did was play us for fools, so they won’t look bad in the eyes of the public. They run ‘game’ on the church.
That should have never happen.
4. The church is the most important institution in the world, and we must never let any government use us to make them look good in the eyes of the community.  If they do wrong we must sound the alarm,  if they do right we applaud them. We must keep their feet  to the fire, they will respect the church and it would help them to be a better government for the people.
5. When we stop speaking out on the issues of the country, we fail God. We get in trouble with God and hurt our people for generations to come.
6. We cannot let people or governments think that because of the prosperity of this country it is because of human beings.
It’s God and His mercy and that He hears the Prayers of the Saints.
God put this government in power 14 to 1 and if they don’t do right, God will put them out.
God sets up and He pulls down.
Promotion don’t come from the east nor the west.
The church had no involvement in any decision making in this government over the past year.
7. The church needs to speak up on the good and the bad.
8. The government did what they wanted to do to the church with its Protocols, there was no consultation.
They had their cabinet meetings and still left them in place for a few weeks.
They are laughing at the church and saying they have us just where they want us.
 Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. Quiet.
The church is never to succumb to any  government or Party leader or please them.
9. The Pension Scheme for the government Ministers has to go, the country cannot afford it. Our government promised to look into it and it’s been a whole year now. If we don’t hold them to it,  it will slip right back under the rug.
10. The Country is depending on the church to speak, and stand strong on God’s behalf of the people on the many issues in our land.
11. Up until recently it was against the law for persons to go to  worship Service unless they are vaccinated or have a negative test,  that law should have never been in place.
12. It’s only after a public outcry of how they  have been governing for the past  year that they  want to meet with the Pastors in Provo now.
The Lord said to me that judgement and destruction will come on this Country and government, His fear will come on this land.
We the Pastors have to warn the government and people to repent and turn to God.
God told me to tell the Premier to call for a Solemn Assembly along with the Spiritual leaders,  a day of Repentance and Prayer.
We as Pastors must all speak the same thing.
I told the Premier from a year ago, that as soon as his government got settled, call for a Solemn  Assembly, (Joel 2:1, 12-14, 15-32), but is  was not done.
Jehoshaphat in the bible called for the people to come together to pray because of the coming danger in
2 Chronicles 20: 1-29.
The king of Nineveh call for repentance and Prayer because of the coming judgment of God in Jonah 3:1-10, and God is calling this Country to repent.
2 Timothy 1:7 says. ” God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind”.
Psalm 149:6-9 says,
6-Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two edge sword in their hand.
7-To execute vengeance upon the heathen,  and punishment upon the people.
8-To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9-To execute upon them the judgement written: this honour have all His Saints.  Praise ye the Lord.
I am not ashame of the gospel of Jesus Christ,
I am not ashame of who I am and what God give me to say.
Let us continue to pray for our Premier and Government, that they obey God, because so go the leader, so goes our country.
May God help us.
Bishop Edwin Lightbourne
Prophet to the Nation
