#Providenciales, December 20, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – In what has become a highly anticipated annual tradition, the Sandals Foundation, in partnership with Hasbro, distributed hundreds of toys to children across Providenciales to “share the cheer” this holiday season.  Local children were given the opportunity to party with Sandals Foundation Volunteers and the Jolly Ole’ St. Nick while receiving gifts and toys at several Christmas drives held across the island.

“Our partnership with Hasbro, Inc have allowed us to expand our annual toy drive to include not only students of our sponsored schools but also several children in the Providenciales community,” said Elanor Finfin Krzanowski, Public Relations Manager and organizer of the annual toy drive commented, “This year we were able to bring an early Christmas to over hundreds of local kids and our goal is to keep expanding to bring holiday cheers to as many kids as possible.”

Each year the Sandals Foundation initiates an international Holiday Toy Drive, encouraging the support of travel and industry partners, team members and the public to donate a toy to a needy child.

Other Christmas treats and celebrations included The Beaches Team Member’s Kids Christmas as well as the Senior Citizen Christmas Luncheon Extravaganza.  “Our team members and guests have got involved this year.  Knowing that the treat and gifts are going to the local communities means a lot because our employees come from these communities and they know how much these treats mean to many families.” Krzanowski said.

Heidi Clarke, Executive Director of the Sandals Foundation, said that this is a long tradition which is executed by the employees of Sandals and Beaches hotels in seven countries across the Caribbean.  “Hasbro, as well as other donors, generously support this initiative, and our team members volunteer their time to wrap and deliver gifts at treats sponsored by the Foundation.  This is a great way to end a year of supporting community work and inspiring hope across the region, and we want to recognize our amazing partners at Hasbro especially.” Clarke said,
