TCI Man remanded for Conspiracy to Commit Murder and empty firearms clips

Turks and Caicos, March 15, 2025 – Appearing in the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday March 11, with his shirt pulled over his head in order to conceal his face was conspiracy accused, GEORGE ARTHUR, Jr. also known as POGGIE or BLOCKS.

He was charged before the Magistrate’s Court on three very serious allegations of having two empty clips/magazines in his possession unlawfully. One of the clips was for a Draco firearm and the other for a Glock firearm.

The third charge was that he (George Arthur, Jr.) conspiring with others unknown, did conspire to kill GUILENE JEAN BAPTISTE on August 2, 2023.

He was not required to plead at the Magistrate’s court level.

His honor, Mr. Jolyon Hatmin, the Chief Magistrate, explained to the accused the procedures and remanded him to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation until May 2, 2025.

He was represented by the Hon. Mr. Willin Belliard and the prosecution department was represented by Ms. Andwena Lockhart.
