Turks and Caicos, August 29, 2024 – The Office of the Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Kerisa Gardiner to the post of Human Resource Officer in the Human Resource Management Directorate within the Office of the Deputy Governor.
Mrs. Gardiner holds an Associate’s Degree in Public Sector Management (2012) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management (Hons.) (2015) from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College.
She initially began her tenure with the Turks and Caicos Islands Government in 1998 as a Clerical Officer at the Primary Health Care Department. However, her stride towards personal and professional development led her to various administrative positions before seeking a career change in another area.
In 2015 Mrs. Gardiner joined the Turks and Caicos Islands Financial Services Commission as a Compliance Officer where her main responsibilities were in supervising and regulating the various financial institutions within the Turks and Caicos Islands. Through this appointment she gained several qualifications including: a Diploma in Governance Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association in 2017 and a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering from the Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas in 2018.
Commenting on her appointment Mrs. Gardiner stated:
“As I embark on this new journey in being appointed as a Human Resource Officer within the Turks and Caicos Government Human Resource Management Directorate, I thank God for making this possible and for presenting the opportunity to work in such a capacity.
I am excited about this transition back into the Turks and Caicos Islands Government and am eager to make valuable contributions to both the Human Resource Management Directorate, as well TCIG and the wider Turks and Caicos Islands at large.”
Deputy Governor and Head of the Public Service Her Excellency Anya Williams in extending congratulatory remarks to Mrs. Gardiner stated:
“Congratulations is extended to Mrs. Kerisa Gardiner on her appointment as a Human Resource Officer in the Human Resource Management Directorate.
The HRMD plays a very important role in managing the overall recruitment and selection process for positions across government, as such it is extremely important that we continue to bolster our team by hiring new and innovative professionals.
