#TurksandCaicos, May 21, 2024 – An incident occurred on Bible Street (Behind Mara) on Friday, March 22nd, 2024, during which police officers approached KENO PENN, 28.  Witnesses described it as nothing short of a scene from a movie.

Reportedly extremely intoxicated, as he claimed to the Honorable Chief Magistrate (CM) Mr. Jolyon Hatmin, Penn stated he couldn’t recall the events.  He admitted to the CM that he was too inebriated to remember precisely what occurred.

When confronted with charges of possessing 14 grams of marijuana in the Magistrate’s Court on Old Airport Road, Providenciales, he pleaded guilty to possession and resisting arrest.  However, due to his intoxicated state, he expressed uncertainty about how to plead to the charges of obstructing and assaulting Police Officer Garvin Bruno.

The case of the Blue Hills man has been scheduled for mention on May 30th, 2024. He was released on bail set at $5000.00.

His case has been transferred to the court of the Honorable Resident Magistrate, Mrs. Oreika Selver Gardiner, located on Leeward Highway.”
