ANTHONY FRANKIN SEYMOUR, 53, of Grand Turk, appeared in court (March 28th) charged with the following offences.
- a) One Count Robbery
- b) One Court Possession of Controlled Drugs
Mr Seymour, aka “Tony,” pleaded not guilty to possession of controlled drugs.
The matter was adjourned to April 18th, 2024, for a sufficiency hearing. The robbery offence was adjourned to May 3rd, 2024, for a sufficiency hearing.
The accused was remanded to H.M. Prison. The charges were laid following an investigation into a robbery on March 25th, 2024, at a business establishment on North Back Salina, Grand Turk.

Robbery Investigation opened on March 25 around 11:20 p.m., Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force officers responded to a robbery at a business establishment on North Back Salina, Grand Turk.
According to a preliminary investigation conducted by officers of the Criminal Investigations Department, a male entered the establishment and confronted someone about the price of a drink.
The male suspect left after making threats and returned shortly after armed with a knife and proceeded to rob the establishment.
Grand Turk Superintendent Willet Harvey said, “This incident is under active investigation. We are aware of the suspect and are pursuing specific leads. I also wish to caution businesses and residents to always contact the police should someone issue threats to harm you or your property. Do not dismiss such. The necessary action can be initiated by alerting us immediately to potentially prevent future criminal activity.”

Suspect in Custody A 53-year-old male suspect remains in police custody following a robbery in Grand Turk yesterday evening.
Superintendent Willet Harvey confirms the suspect was apprehended today (March 26) along Front Street, Grand Turk shortly after noon.
“Officers acting on information proceeded to the location and arrested the suspect. Investigations are continuing”.
