Royal Robinson Jr says he is NOT GUILTY; serious matter of WOUNDING headed to trial

#TurksandCaicos, December 21, 2023 – Magnetic Media was noticed on or around 17th May, 2023 when a video was in circulation and came into our news room of a bleeding man by the name of Vaughn Garland, a Grand Turk native, who alleged he had been ran over deliberately by a business man he named as ROYAL ROBINSON JR.

In making inquiries about the allegations with the Royal TCI Police, we learned that ROBINSON JR was arrested and granted police bail pending investigation. We were further advised, weeks later, that the suspect was charged with wounding with intent, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of imprisonment for life.

Since being charged, the matter was called for Sufficiency hearing in November and December of 2023, and his attorney, Noel Skippings conceded to the matter progressing to trial on the sufficiency of the evidence in the bundle.

The accused ROBINSON JR, denied the allegations when put to him at the Plea and Directions Hearing (PDH) held on November 23rd, 2023, before her Ladyship, The Hon. Tanya Lobban Jackson.

The matter is going to trial.
