#UnitedKingdom, December 10, 2023 – On November 7, in another historic moment for King Charles III and his Queen Camilla, the pair in full royal regalia paraded through the halls of parliament for the Opening of State.

The king and queen first arrived at the Palace of Westminster, followed by signature emblem of British royalty, the Imperial State Crown which was ushered into the building where the Throne Speech would be read by King Charles, for the first time as official head of the monarchy.

While there was fascination over the pomp and pageantry of the moment; there were also reminders about the atrocities for which British nobility is fingered.  Still the speech was delivered, and one UK citizen penned some of the highlights as she sat amongst the representatives from both chambers in the gallery.
