16 Year old from BVI wins Junior Tourism Minister

#BritishVirginIslands, October 16, 2023 – History has been made for the British Virgin Islands with 16 year old Naomi Onwufuju scoring big with winning the title of Junior Minister for Tourism.

She landed the title at the Caribbean Tourism Youth Congress on October 13th in the Turks and Caicos Islands, where she passionately competed for the title against 14 other islands.

Omwufuju, made headlines within 3 hours after her win as the BVI Tourist Board expressed how proud it is of the 16 year old.

“To say that we are proud is an understatement. We are extremely ecstatic,” the board exclaimed.

“Your hard work, dedication and commitment have paid off. You have represented us well,” the added.

Following the Congress, Onwufuju, speaking on her win, had nothing but joy to show.

“It is my honor to be here, representing the beautiful  British Virgin Islands, I love my country and I am honored I have gotten the chance to represent and to win this for my territory, to be able to be an influence in Tourism,” she maintained.
