BLUE HILLS ROBBERIES

#TurksandCaicos, August 18, 2023 – At 11:50pm on Friday 11th August, the Police control room received a report of a robbery in the Blue Hills area. Complainant reported that masked gun men, dressed in black, robbed them of a red SUV and personal items.

Various police units responded. The stolen red SUV was intercepted between Blue Hills and Dock Yard area however, the culprits fled the scene into Dock Yard.

No shots fired. No injuries reported.

At 2:00am on Friday 11 August a robbery was reported to Tactical Unit officers whilst on mobile patrol in the Kew Town area. The complainant reported that three masked men, one armed with what appeared to be a rifle stole a black Suzuki swift and fled.

No shot fired. No injuries reported.

Also on Friday 11th August, officers responded to a report of a robbery on Bible Street, Blue Hills. Two males with face coverings, one armed with what appeared to be a pistol, robbed a victim of personal belongings, then drove off into the Dock Yard area.

No shots fired. No injuries reported.

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY – LONG BAY BEACH DRIVE

At 5:17am on Friday 11th August, called contacted the police control room and reported that their property was broken into. One masked male armed with a knife entered the location and robbed the occupants of personal belongs.

No injuries reported.

Charges Laid in Theft and DUI Cases

Turks and Caicos, March 22, 2025 – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force reports the arrest of ROLIN THOBY for the offence of THEFT.

THOBY, 41, was taken into custody on Tuesday, 18 February 2025, for questioning by  investigators and released pending further inquiries.  He was charged on 17th March and granted police bail in the sum of USD 2,000 and is scheduled to appear before a Magistrate on Monday, 7 April 2025.

Thoby was charged following investigations into an incident at a location on Leeward Highway, Providenciales, where officers recovered several items at the scene, including a generator, an Igloo cooler, and construction tools.

Charges in DUI Case JEFF PIERRE, 30, has been charged with the offence of driving a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit.

Pierre of Five Cays was charged yesterday and granted police bail in the sum of USD 1,000 with one surety. He is scheduled to appear before a Magistrate in Providenciales on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

The arrest and subsequent charge followed an incident on March 2, 2025, when officers responded to an accident along Grace Bay Road near Alexandra Park Road.

Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle on the sidewalk with deployed airbags. The officers took certain actions, and Pierre was arrested.

Wanted “Woody” Charged

Turks and Caicos, March 12, 2025 – On March 4, 2025, the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) issued a Wanted Bulletin for HAYWOOD MCINTOSH following a report of malicious damage to property and assault.

Five days later, (9th March), officers conducting patrols in the Grace Bay area identified and apprehended McIntosh.

McIntosh, also known as “Woody“, was searched, during which officers allegedly discovered a pistol and an extended magazine containing ammunition in his possession.

McIntosh was arrested and subsequently charged on Tuesday, 11 March 2025.

McIntosh, 38, of The Bight, faces the following offences:

  • Possession of a firearm
  • Possession of ammunition

The accused is expected to appear in court on the next available date and remains in custody.

The RT&CIPF remains committed to ensuring public safety and urges anyone with information regarding illegal firearms to report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS) or contact the nearest police station.

Turks and Caicos, 11th March 2025 – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force confirms that a 29-year-old male remains in custody as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of an unidentified male in Dock Yard yesterday (10 March).

The deceased, believed to be of Haitian nationality, is described as a slim-built male in his mid20s with a short afro and goatee. He was found wearing only white boxers in a bushy area behind Dock Yard. Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify him.

Investigations have thus far revealed that shortly after 8:30 am, several calls were placed to the Police Control Room stating a body was at a location in Dock Yard.

Officers arrived at the scene and were led to a ditch, where they confirmed the report.

In a separate case, detectives recovered a black vehicle suspected to have been used in the March 7th murder of Ricardo Pierre. A 21-year-old Dock Yard male has been arrested on suspicion of Mr. Pierre’s death.

Both homicide investigations are ongoing.
