#TurksandCaicos, February 2, 2023 – A pair of serial gunmen may have attacked the country’s residents for a second time in two weeks based on police reports.

Two men were shot in Five Cays Tuesday night, police say, confirming reports from Magnetic Media and residents of the area.  In a press release issued Wednesday night they revealed that the two were injured in separate incidents both in Providenciales.

The first victim, barely an adult at only 19 years old, was injured in a drive-by at about 11.05 pm that night.  Reports indicate he was attacked by at least two gunmen.  Concerning, was that for the second time this year a Grey Nissan March vehicle was fingered for the vicious attacks.

A car with the same description was seen at the first drive-by on January 25th.  The young man was rushed to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre (CHMC) where he received medical attention.

Minutes later, at around 11.23 pm another man was dropped off at the hospital, this time a 27-year-old with gunshot wounds.   According to police the victim was in Residence Yard, Five Cays, when he was approached by two men wearing black .  The men robbed and shot him.

This is the third police reported armed robbery of the year and the second reported drive by shooting of the year.  The first of which involves two cars and two victims.

Police need help solving the crime and are pleading with the public to notify the closest police station or to contact Crime Stoppers and give any information on these shootings and illegal activity anonymously.
