#TurksandCaicos, July 28, 2021 – The Turks and Caicos Tourist Board is pleased to announce the official reopening of its Grand Turk branch office, which is located on Front Street, in the former historic Anglican Church Rectory.

A ceremony of blessing to mark the occasion took place on Friday, 23rd July, 2021. The Tourist Board was honored to have Pastor Vernon Malcolm lead the ceremony. He offered prayers and blessings, not only over the Tourist Board’s office and staff members but also for tourism stakeholders and partners that continue to make the tourism industry a success.

The Minister of Tourism Hon. Josephine Connolly, Hon. Otis Morris, Hon. Shaun Malcolm, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism Mrs. Cherylann Jones, Chairman of the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board Mrs. Beverly Howell, Director of Tourism Ms. Pamela Ewing, other government officials and tourism partners and stakeholders from the Grand Turk community were present to witness the official opening.

Deputy Director of Tourism Ms. Mary Lightbourne, who leads the Grand Turk team commented, “We are grateful and excited to have a comfortable office space that accurately represents brand Turks and Caicos and to have an office where we can engage our local stakeholders and visitors who have come to love our beautiful islands.  We are equally grateful to the Ministry of Tourism who accommodated the Grand Turk team over the last 3 years, after the passing of hurricanes Irma and Maria in September of 2017 which damaged the former office space.”

This new location on the idyllic Front Street will offer both visitors and stakeholders easy access to the Tourist Board’s resources and assistance and will be open from Monday- Friday from 9am -5pm. This office will serve as a Tourism Information Center, which will be key in enabling the Tourist Board to continue to promote the ‘Beautiful by Nature’ Turks and Caicos Islands. The Grand Turk team looks forward to serving the general public and visitors from the new location.
