TCI’s Ryesha Higgs debuts in London’s West End, cast in Disney’s Lion King
#TurksandCaicls, May 17, 2021 – The super intelligent, super dexterous, super talented Ryesha Higgs has been cast in the London production of the Lion King and in every way it is a fantastic achievement.
“I am so honoured to officially announce that I will be making my West End debut in Disney’s The Lion King London, this Summer! It has surely been a journey, so much has changed since then yet one thing remains – that the arts, dance in particular, are essential and shows like The Lion King are necessary in our ‘new normal’ world,” said Miss Higgs in a post on her Facebook page on May 12.
Ryesha, a professional dancer and studying physician is part of the ensemble cast of Disney’s the Lion King; her debut on stage in London’s famous, West End.
“I am so thankful for the opportunity to represent the Turks and Caicos in the theatre and commercial dance world. I look forward to rejoining my talented cast members, back in the ‘pride lands’ as we celebrate culture and creativity.”
Disney’s Lion King opens on July 29th and Ryesha,who is currently at home and interning at the Ministry of Health, craves support.
