Sandals maintains international market interest despite busy storm season

#Bahamas, November 10, 2017 – Nassau – With both New Providence and the Exuma Cays being spared any major damage from hurricanes Irma and Maria, Sandals Royal Bahamian and Sandals Emerald Bay continue to shine as hospitality beacons to the islands of the Bahamas.   More than 50 media publications spanning North America and Europe have visited the two resorts since the start of the year with a noticeable increase in frequency over the past two months, immediately following the storms, as the resort chain continues to showcase the luxury included vacation destination.

Lazar Delorenzo Charlton, public relations manager at Sandals Royal Bahamian comments, “As we gear up for our busy winter season, we’ve been delighted to host a number of  European and American media outlets to showcase our beautiful resorts, both here in Nassau and in Exuma.   Despite the recent passing of two mega storms which sadly devastated several of our other islands in the region, our new and returning guests have kept us busy here.   We’re also pleased with the increased media exposure to promote the Sandals Foundation, the charitable arm of our company which is continuing to assist our communities in the Bahamas affected by the storms.”

Gary Williams, general manager adds, “It’s always exciting for us to have these outlets from all over visit, interact with our team members and guests, and then for them to showcase what we have to offer in the Bahamas.   From all of the amenities here at the resort to the tours we offer through Island Routes, which allow for direct experience of the Bahamian attractions and culture, we are happy to show that not only are our resorts as beautiful as ever, but so are our islands and our people, and Bahamas is open for business.”
