… JOSE PASSING WELL NORTHEAST OF THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS…

AT 11AM EDT, THE CENTER OF HURRICANE JOSE WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 25.5° NORTH AND LONGITUDE 69.1° WEST OR ABOUT 305 MILES NORTHNORTHEAST OF GRAND TURK ISLAND.

JOSE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 9 MILES PER HOUR (MPH). A TURN TOWARD THE NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED TONIGHT, FOLLOWED BY A SLOWER MOTION TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST TUESDAY OR TUESDAY NIGHT.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 105 MILES PER HOUR (MPH) WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME WEAKENING IS FORECAST DURINGHT THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
