Providenciales, TCI, December 12, 2016 – An At Large Candidates’ Debate was held last night where former premier Michael Misick spoke to introducing a sort of defense force, taking the community college to university status, again calling for the Police Commissioner to be let go after last week holding a rally in Kingstown, the Bight.

“They say and Independent can’t win, my goal is not only to win, I want us to become government.  I want to win ‘bigly’, I want to win the most votes, and so with seven thousand voters, I want seven thousand, one hundred to vote for me and vote against the British.”

Damian Wilson, another independent spoke to us last week too about the missing names from the elector’s list.

“There are candidates for North and Middle Caicos and the ‘At Large’ candidate Mr. Don Hue Gardiner did raise the concern that in a subdivided list, the list that was divided from the main voters list, not the voters list itself, but the list that were going to be provided to the individual polling stations where names were divided into sub-groups, for persons to vote, there were two names missing from those list.  Now yes I do consider this a concern, as it can create confusion, however the elections office did say that they would address that matter this week coming.  And I fully expect them to rectify it either today or tomorrow.  I can’t speak for them, but that is my hope.”

The At Large or All Island category features 22 candidates for the five House of Assembly seats available.
