Nassau, Bahamas, November 25, 2016 – News item on Tropical Storm Otto issued by the Bahamas Department of Meteorology Forecast Office Section, at 6am, Friday 25th November, 2016
Heavy rains from Otto still affecting portions of Costa Rica and Nicaragua….
At 5:00 AM EDT, the center of Otto was located near latitude 10.5 degrees north and longitude 86.9 degrees west or about 135 miles westnorthwest of Cabo Blanco Costa Rica.
Otto is moving toward the west at 14mph. A faster motion toward the west-southwest is expected later today and tonight, followed by a westward motion on Saturday. On the forecast track, the center of Otto will continue to move away from the coast of Central America today.
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 60 miles per hour (MPH) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
