Robert Been Jr. – New Year 2025 Address

Greetings fellow Turks and Caicos Islanders,

As we step into 2025, I want to wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year filled with hope, prosperity, and the promise of brighter days ahead. The new year is a time for reflection and renewal—a time to look at where we’ve been and decide where we’re going. Together, we have the opportunity to create a better future for our islands.

In 2025, let’s work toward a safer Turks and Caicos. Crime has touched too many lives, and it’s time for change. We will strengthen law enforcement, modernize legislation, secure our borders, fight back against the criminal gangs, and foster community partnerships to restore safety to our neighborhoods.

We also envision a future where affordable housing and accommodation is within reach for every Turks and Caicos family. From accessible financing to new housing developments, we are committed to ensuring that everyone has a place to call home.

In this new year, we will work towards lowering costs, supporting small businesses, and creating better-paying jobs to ensure a brighter economic future for all. And by reforming our healthcare system, we will ensure quality, accessible care and empower healthier lifestyles for all our people.

Finally, we will invest in our youth. Through education, training, and empowerment initiatives, we will unlock the potential of the next generation, building a stronger nation for years to come.

My friends, in 2025, let’s turn the page and move forward together in a new direction with hope and determination. Let us remember that our worst days are behind us, better days are ahead of us. We will continue to stand with the people, because your future is our priority.  Happy New Year, and may God bless the Turks and Caicos Islands.
