Ministry of Tourism and Experience Turks and Caicos to host Christmas House Lighting Competition  

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands 4^th December 2024 – The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with Experience Turks and Caicos, is thrilled to announce plans for a Christmas House Lightening Competition, designed to spark holiday cheer and celebrate the creative spirit of the season. Scheduled for December 23, 2024, this festive competition invites the community across the islands to showcase their artistic flair and love for the holidays with dazzling light displays.

Participants will compete for exciting cash prizes, with awards for the 1st place winner ($1,500), 2nd place ($750), and 3rd place ($500). The event promises to bring communities to life with decorative lights and themes that capture the magic of Christmas.

Judging Criteria will be evaluated on four key categories:

1. Creativity – Innovative designs that bring a fresh perspective to holiday decor.
2. Storyline/Theme – A cohesive narrative or theme that ties the display together.
3. Display and Placement – Effective and eye-catching arrangement of lights and props.
4. Overall Presentation – A polished and festive final look that delights viewers.

To participate, interested individuals must register by December 10, 2024. Registration forms are available at the Ministry of Tourism and District Commissioners’ offices across the islands. Completed entry forms should be submitted via email to mrolle@gov.tc.
