Extended Deadline for Submission of Additional Information for the Cost-of-Living Relief Programme

Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands – Tuesday, 17 December 2024: The Ministry of Finance, Investment and Trade is pleased to announce that Cabinet has approved a one-week extension for individuals to submit their additional information and/or outstanding documents. This extension ensures that all eligible persons have ample time to complete their submissions.

As part of the process, the Cost of Living Relief Programme link is now LIVE and accessible, providing a direct platform for individuals to submit the necessary documentation. The one-week extension will close on Friday, 20th December 2024. Please email all requested documents to the link provided in your email.

As a reminder, the following documents can be submitted for proof of status and residency.

  1. Proof of Status
Category Documents Required
TCI Status; Turks and Caicos Islander Status Card; OR
TCI Status Copy of applicant’s TCI birth certificate, along with a copy one or both parents’ TCI status Card; OR
TCI Status; Copy of applicant’s TCI birth certificate, along with a copy of one or both parents’ birth certificate; OR
TCI Status copy of applicant’s TCI birth certificate along with Islander Status Card/Island Status Certificate of one or both of his/her parents
a BOTC; Copy of BOTC passport (if passport is expired the expiration date could be no later than 1st November 2023; OR
a BOTC; Copy of BOTC certificate;

 

  1. Proof of Residency

Entering either your voter’s registration number or an active NIB number in the designated field or one of the following:

  • Copy of a certified utility bill displaying the applicant’s name which was issued in the TCI during the last three (3) months;
  • In the case of a student, a letter from tertiary institutions in the Turks and Caicos Islands as proof of living in the TCI during the roll out period of the grant. This letter must also be accompanied by a standard affidavit; or
  • Letter written by a Justice of the Peace or District Commissioner in a respective community verifying that the applicant lives there. This letter must be accompanied by a standard affidavit.

Individuals are encouraged to submit all required documents well in advance of the final deadline.

Given this extension, final payment for the Cost-of-Living Relief Programme will be made in Batch 4, scheduled for Monday, 23rd December 2024.
