PNP Governing Party to have Run Offs, expecting at least THREE races

#TurksandCaicos, March 09, 2024 – There will be at least three constituency run offs for the governing Progressive National Party confirmed Sonia Williams, party Secretary General on Friday (March 8). However none of them are happening right now.

This clarification to Magnetic Media came after residents were buzzing about a race in South Caicos, which many speculated was set for this weekend.

Electoral District 3, South Caicos is a known PNP stronghold, almost a guaranteed seat for the party in yellow.  People in South Caicos are reporting that they are currently being wooed by three potential candidates, including incumbent John Malcolm, the current member of the House of Assembly looking to the delegates in the district to decide on their favourite for the next General Election.

Also in that race, Jameka Williams, the government’s appointed member and PNP public relations officer who is already sharing material on her bid for the seat in her home island.

Sec-Gen Williams explained that announcements will be made about those constituency challenges, ahead of the run-offs.
