#TurksandCaicos, January 20, 2024 – A new Director has been named for the Integrity Commission in the person of UK native Nick Wallen. Wallen, a retired Senior UK Cop, has held senior positions in investigations branches at companies like Amazon.

He has served as a  Workplace Investigations Quality Assurance Lead at Amazon; Senior Manager in Ethics Investigations at ASDA;  and Senior Global Investigator at Walmart.

While he has experience in homicides via his position as a Detective Chief Superintendent in the West Yorkshire Police; it’s his significant experience in corporate investigations that will likely help him navigate his new role as Director of the Integrity Commission.

“I was active in the world of Professional Standards and led and conducted complex enquiries involving corrupt officers and organised criminals seeking to disrupt police activity—” he continued. “In January 2020 I transitioned from the Police into the world of retail joining Walmart as a Senior Global Investigator where I led complex investigations either within the business or directed against it,” Wallen said of his time in the private sector,  via his LinkedIn profile.

Wallen will have the job of leading the Commission which has a mandate to uphold good governance by monitoring public servants in positions of significant responsibility.

His hiring comes a little over a month after it was announced that the Integrity Commission will undergo an independent effectiveness review to determine if it is fit for purpose.

Wallen is already on the job, having been sworn in on Friday, January 12 by Dileeni Daniel Selvaratnam, TCI Governor.
