Bambarra and Grace Bay Beaches are in the running for Best Caribbean Beach in USA Today’s 10Best contest. USA TODAY 10Best is looking for the best of the best across several categories as part of their 2024 Readers’ Choice awards. These contests give voters four weeks to vote for the candidate of their choice and they can vote once a day in each category for the run of the contest. Voting ends Monday, January 1st, 2024 and the winners will be announced on 10Best on Friday, January, 12th, 2024 at 12 pm EST. You can read the official rules here.
Turks and Caicos among 21 Most Beautiful Islands in the Caribbean
The Turks and Caicos Islands have been listed among the 21 Most Beautiful islands in the Caribbean. Both MSN and Conde Nast said: “Turks and Caicos consist of 40 islands (eight of which are inhabited), so it’s pretty hard to go wrong here. Providenciales has some of the world’s loveliest white sand beaches, particularly near Grace Bay on the north shore. Grand Turk has a more developed feel, with charming colonial architecture throughout Cockburn Town”.
Virgin Atlantic Hosts UK Journalists
A group of travel writers from the UK was hosted by Virgin Atlantic last week as part of its push to promote the Turks and Caicos Islands. Virgin Atlantic launched its twice-weekly flights to the Turks and Caicos Islands on November 2nd, 2023. The nine journalists were hosted by Wymara Resort and Villas and their experiences on the island was curated by Luxury Experiences Turks and Caicos.
UK Travel Advisors learn about Turks and Caicos
Travel Advisors in the United Kingdom were treated to a presentation about the Turks and Caicos Islands last week in Windsor, UK. The presentation was aimed at helping them to increase visitation from the UK and Europe. Victoria Crammer, UK Marketing Consultant, spoke to the group about the new non-stop Virgin Atlantic flight from Heathrow, London to Providenciales and played them a five-minute video about the destination. She also showed them images of Providenciales including restaurants and bars. The advisors were Salome Zeeman from Dream 2 Travel, Louise Worsley from Farewise, Annabelle Marshall from Travel Counsellors, Alison Lanson from Travel PA, Sonia Burdin from Worldwide Dream Villas and Iona from Your Holidays.
