#TurksandCaicos, November 25, 2023 – The Turks and Caicos Islands Government continues to expand Technical and Vocational Education and Training TVET programs at the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College with the reveal of five more new classes across campuses.

On the table for  Providenciales, Grand Turk, and South Caicos are Nail Technology, Customer Service, Commercial Food Prep, Cosmetology, and Office Administration.

The new courses were announced by the Ministry of Education on November 16 with a cutoff date for registration set at November 24th.

The expansion follows the addition of law and maritime courses at the TCICC in early 2023.

Increased TVET offerings had been one of the major requests from young people during a youth survey several years ago; since then a new property has been acquired to facilitate an expanded course offering and consultation has been sought with nearby Bahamas at its BTVI (Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute).

All Turks and Caicos islanders and BOTC Students are able to access these courses completely free of cost.
