#TurksandCaicos, September 15, 2023 – The Washington Misick Administration has revealed it has finalized a Communications Policy; and it is hoped the creation of the guidelines will usher in greater transparency, increased frequency in government reporting and improved public access to national information.

Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands made the announcement during the Speech from the Throne at the Opening Parliament of the First Sitting of the First Meeting of the Third Session of the Twelfth Legislature of the House of Assembly.

The speech is read on behalf of the sitting Premier, who is C. Washington Misick.

“As the government seeks to communicate effectively and with transparency both internally and to the public, we have developed a communications strategy and policy that will be submitted to Cabinet for ratification in the coming weeks,” she read.

Washington Misick, TCI Premier has come under intense criticism in recent weeks over his silence on crime and other national issues.
