#TurksandCaicos, August 18, 2023 – All four windows, front and back windshields of a small Suzuki Swift car were completely smashed, allegedly in an angry rage on the property of Club Med back on June 4, 2023.

EVANSON “Archy” WALKIN was arraigned on the charge of malicious injuries to property costing some $11, 670; the property of Lovensky Arthur.

He pleaded not guilty on Tuesday  August 15th, 2023 and was represented by senior defence attorney Ashwood Forbes.

Bail was set in the amount of $5,000.00 with surety showing collateral matching the amount.

Walkin was not able to find suitable surety with collateral of $5K and he asked the learned Hon. Chief Magistrate for a reduction to $2,000.00 and the court allowed same with surety.

The reduced $2K bail was immediately signed and the matter adjourned.

Walkin is now slated to return to court on September 25th, 2023.

The matter was transferred from Mr. Jolyon Hatmin, Chief Magistrate to Mrs. Oreika Selver-Gardiner, Resident Magistrate Court on Leeward Highway, Providenciales, next to NIB.

The learned Chief Magistrate very briefly questioned the value of the damaged windows and windshields at over 11k and Mr. Ashwood Forbes attorney for the accused said, your honor, I was looking at the same thing because that’s the value of the whole car.

However, that will have to be sorted out in the trial.

Representing the Crown was Ms. Enjaleek Dickenson.
