#TheBahamas, August 29, 2023 – Dubbed as a new way to fly to Abaco in The Bahamas by Caribbean Journal, JSX air carrier is launching service between Miami and Marsh Harbour, Abaco starting on December 14th, 2023, just in time for the winter season.

The public charter jet service plan entails connecting Dallas (DAL) and White Plains (HPN) through Miami for service to/from Marsh Harbour, by flying 5 roundtrips per week,” according to David Drabinsky, Vice President of strategy and corporate development at JSX.

This new route development comes after months of engagement with JSX, as pointed out by Chester Cooper, The Bahamas’ Deputy Prime Minister and Tourism Minister, who expressed how he feels about the route, making reference to the bounce back of travel to the island amid recent disruptive developments.

He said, “we are excited to support this new launch to match the ever-growing demand for the Abacos as travel continues an impressive recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian and the COVID-19 pandemic.”

He further spoke of the potential of the route for the local community.

“The additional air stopover arrivals from such important key markets will expose new and returning visitors to a widely refreshed product and bring tremendous economic benefits for the local community and industry stakeholders.”

Darbinsky expressed that the airline too is excited for the development saying that they are hopeful regarding the addition of “more destinations to The Bahamas in short order.”
