#TurksandCaicos, March 23, 2023 – One former Minister of Government is advising that good public relations can ease implementation and must be an integral part of the Government strategy.  The advice came from Robert Hall, who headed the Ministry of Education for years as he spoke at a recent Education Symposium on teacher retention.

“One of the things that I often say about this Government, they come up with some brilliant ideas and are doing a lot of good things, but their PR is not effective,” Hall, who hosts a radio talkshow explained.

Hall went on to outline some of the pitfalls of underexposed initiatives.

“When you do not properly explain to the people various moves— and people begin to speculate, and they come to wrong conclusions. Therefore, it is important to get that aspect, their communications right.”

The Premier’s Office has recently expanded its communications team with the addition of Kimo Tynes, Deputy Director of Communications and new to the Deputy Governor’s Office is Kayla Higgs, Communications Officer.
