#TurksandCaicos, November 18, 2022 – A $10,000 bounty has been placed on the head of alleged “gang leader”, Brandon Rahming by the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force however in the face of police efforts a disturbing response has emerged.

In the comments under the Police Facebook post: brazen threats against the residents of the Turks and Caicos islands by an account registered to one named as: ‘Brandon Lee’.

“Triple that and stop being cheap, people hurting out here” the writer of the post mocked, seemingly making light of the intense grief of families who have lost loved ones.

The user continued with vile and serious threats in creole translated to:

“If 10 K US worth your entire family go ahead and try… One call away”

Though the profile was private, there were more threats visibly posted on the users profile photo.  Seemingly, threatening an inmate at one of the islands correctional facilities.

Magnetic Media cannot confirm the identity behind this profile but the owner seems to check the Police’s page very often as Facebook has listed them as a top fan of the page.

Meanwhile, Rahming remains a regional fugitive as both the Turks and Caicos and The Bahamas have listed him as wanted for drugs and firearm charges, with the additional more serious crime of murder tacked onto his TCI wanted poster.

The alleged ‘gang leader’ was listed as wanted on October 27th, less than 24 hours after the murder of Paul Missick and the wounding of another man.  Days after that a shocking video emerged showing Missick’s last moments as a  dark clad man demanded to know who was ‘talking to the police’ before proceeding to shoot at Missick and two others.

With the passing of the Anti-gang Ordinance, any individual caught and convicted as a gang leader in the Turks and Caicos Islands can face multiple charges including joining a gang.  The crime comes with jail time from 10 to 20 years if convicted.  With this label by Police as a “gang leader” Brandon Leonardo Rahming can get up to 25 years.

In addition, he could be charged with coercing, encouraging, enticing or aiding others in joining a gang which will get an offender up to 25 years in prison.

Earlier this year the National Security Council had indicated that it would be employing cash for information schemes to encourage residents to say what they saw, but Rahming is the first man this year to have a reward for information placed on his head and it’s been nearly a decade that a bounty has been set so high.
