Job Title: Director – Entrepreneurial Development
Reporting to: CEO
Location: Invest Turks and Caicos – Providenciales
Under the general supervision of the CEO, the Executive Director responsible for small business support will be required to manage all aspects of small business support including creating and administering annual budgets; ensuring agreed milestones are achieved; preparing fiscal reports; overseeing staff; identifying and networking with partner agencies; and providing technical assistance to new and existing business owners.
Essential Functions
- Plans, coordinates, and evaluates resources in a manner that will ensure comprehensive service delivery to the micro, small and medium community in TCI.
- In conjunction with the CEO, develops annual budget.
- Develops contracts and partnerships to generate additional income, including identifying and developing grant applications.
- Monitors grants and contracts for compliance and prepares quarterly and annual fiscal reports along with other required reports.
- Fosters positive working relationships with public and private sector Stakeholders and their staff, ensuring they are aware of Invest TCI services available to the micro, small and medium community and, as necessary, advocating on behalf of micro, small and medium owners and new entrepreneurs.
- Provides direct communication and creates an on-going working relationship with financial institutions, legal and trade associations, private consulting firms, and micro, small and medium associations.
- Provides liaison between the college, chambers of commerce and other agencies involved in micro, small and medium assistance and economic development.
- Represents and is an advocate on behalf of the micro, small and medium community to public and private institutions and organizations.
- Provides supervision and oversight for staff and consultants.
- Provides individualized consulting to small business clients.
- Develops and facilitates business workshops to support Invest TCI’s objectives.
- Delivers presentations about Invest TCI and/or specific topics to classes, community organizations, financial institutions, government entities, and others.
- Participates on committees appropriate to promote the agenda of Invest TCI.
- Participates in Regional and International MSME conferences and meetings within budgetary allocations.
- Develops and/or coordinates a marketing plan, including social media and other electronic marketing, of Invest TCI’s small business services and programs.
- Develops and implements appropriate evaluation procedures to ensure the quality of services delivered.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year university with a major in business administration, public administration or related field; MBA preferred.
- Four (4) years of related experience with at least two (2) years of management/supervisory experience.
Salary: per annum based on qualifications and experience.

Key Activities Included:
Educational Training Sessions
Healthcare professionals conducted structured sessions addressing hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol management, nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, and the early warning signs of heart disease.
House Call Talk Show Feature
A dedicated Heart Month episode of the hospital’s House Call program provided expert discussion on cardiovascular risk factors and prevention strategies, empowering viewers with practical, evidence-based guidance.
Red Fridays Awareness Campaign
Throughout the month, staff wore red every Friday to increase visibility around heart disease awareness and reinforce the campaign’s message within the community.
Heart Strong 5K Walk/Run
In collaboration with the Rotary Club, TCI Hospital hosted a community-wide 5K walk/run to promote physical activity as a cornerstone of
heart health. The walk/run also provided an opportunity for community screening.
Digital Health Education Campaign
To expand its reach, TCI Hospital also shared ongoing heart health education tips and prevention messages across its social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. These posts provided actionable guidance on diet, exercise, blood pressure control, and lifestyle modification, and encouraging community members to learn CPR.
