TCI Shooting victim dies; Murders now 12 April – December 2021

#TurksandCaicos, January 28, 2022 – Aftershocks of the string of violent crimes committed over the Christmas holidays are still being felt across the Turks and Caicos, a new murder is added to the 2021 total.

Official police records indicate that 34 year old Michelle Rosette, the woman who was shot multiple times along with her boyfriend in Duck Yard, Providenciales on the 28th of December has died of those injuries.

The police say Michelle was flown to Haiti for treatment but passed away last Saturday, January 22nd.

Michelle had been found in a Honda Fit suffering from gunshot wounds Inflicted in what the police now say they believe to be a robbery.

It makes December 2021, one of the deadliest months on record with five people murdered within the month in the Turks and Caicos Islands.  Overall, for the period April to December last year, there were 12 murders in the UK overseas territory.
