TCI: Correct sign coming for Cooper Jack Bay
A resident of Cooper Jack Bay was heading home only to find that she had either lost her way or that her neighbourhood was renamed. A sign calling Cooper Jack, Discovery Bay, Juba Sound is confusing and the lady explained, residents of the area wished they knew who to call to have it corrected.
Concrete structures, which are now unveiled as signs marking areas like The Bight, Venetian Road, Cheshire Hall and Discovery Bay have been a pleasant sight for many speaking to Magnetic Media. In this case, the issue is not with the sign itself but with the fact that it wrongly welcomes people to Discovery Bay when they are actually in Cooper Jack Bay.
In speaking with the Director of the Department of Public Works, Garvin Thomas it was revealed there are 10 community signs which are erected around Providenciales. It was also explained that the error in Cooper Jack Bay is noted; the contractor has already ordered the replacement sign which will go up soon.
Residents upon hearing the news conveyed thanks for PWD being so responsive to the community concern.
