Breast Cancer leading in TCI; two new cases so far in 2021

#TurksandCaicos, February 13, 2021 – Though only weeks into 2021, already there are two new cases of breast cancer in Turks and Caicos by the TCI Hospitals. 

Breast Cancer was also the leading cancer in 2020 in terms of new cases. 

The statistic puts this form of cancer far ahead of colo-rectal cancer and prostate cancer. 

There were 12 breast cancer diagnoses in 2020, two for prostate and five people were found to have colo-rectal cancer, according to the InterHealth Canada medical team at the TCI Hospitals.
