TCI: Shooting investigation underway

#Providenciales, October 1, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force responded to a shooting incident on Monday, September 30th, 2019 around 7:30 p.m., that left one woman injured.

Police and Medical Officials were dispatched to Bay Road, Blue Hills after assailant(s) driving a small black car fired gunshots outside of a Convenient Store, hitting a 43-year-old woman. She was taken to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre via ambulance and is listed as stable.

TWO ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED DRUGS

A 27-year-old male driver of a Grey Nissan car and the 22-year-old female passenger were arrested following a stop and search at 11:06 p.m. on Monday, September 30th, 2019. Recovered was a clear plastic, containing suspected Cannabis.

Both were arrested for the Offence of Possession of Controlled Drugs.
