Great Harbour Cay, Berry Islands, June 3, 2019 – Bahamas – The Water & Sewerage Corporation (WSC) led by Executive Chairman Adrian Gibson, along with management, visited Great Harbour Cay, the Berry Islands, on Friday, May 31, 2019 to review the corporation’s facilities on the island and plans for improvement going forward.
Great Harbour
Cay has approximately 1,000 residents who get their water from 14 wells which
pump 24 hours a day. Residents enjoy water service free-of-charge at
present. However, with upcoming major improvements it is anticipated that
each house on the island will have its own water meter, after which a fee will
be in order.
Photos show Executive Chairman Gibson and his team inspecting one of the 14 active well fields in Great Harbour Cay; also taking a look at the water storage tank housing 136,000 gallons; and visiting the Arrow Plant on the cay.
