#Providenciales, March 19, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – Five months following the
genesis of a public- private sector partnership to determine the way forward
for the Turks and Caicos in sustainable energy, the Government, FortisTCI and
consultants, Rocky Mountain Institute are ready to speak to the general public.
At the Airport Hotel
Conference Room is where the Providenciales Public Meeting will be held, it
begins at 6 p.m on Tuesday March 19.
Grand Turk will have its meeting on Wednesday March 20, 2019 at the
Dillon Hall of the Anglican Church; that meeting also begins at 6 p.m.
The invitation to the
public says the results of the R-NETS report are in. R-NETS is the acronym for Resilient National
Energy Transition Strategy and last October the partners started looking at how
the country could develop a sustainable energy future. The Executive Summary is now available for
review online.
Again, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Planning, FortisTCI and Rocky Mountain Institute extend an invitation to the public to attend the meetings.
