#Providenciales, March 12, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is investigating four robberies on Providenciales reported between Saturday 9th March 2019 and Sunday 10th March 2019. These robberies occurred in Turtle Cove, Princess Drive, Donkey Lane and on the road near to the Palms resort. As a result of these robberies, the RT&CIPF are stepping up patrols and activity to identify and arrest those responsible.

Botting is appealing to both residents and visitors to remain vigilant when you
are out about at night, “Today there was a
meeting with Director of Tourism, TCHTA and myself to ensure that as
partners we are doing all we can to keep visitors and residents safe on the
Turks and Caicos. We want to remind members of the public and visitors to
pay close attention to their surroundings. The Turks and Caicos Islands
still remains one of the safest places for our visitors and tourists. We will
be enacting a strategy as part of proactive enforcement, part increased
resource allocation with beefing up patrols in hot spots and part crime
prevention education on our social media platforms”.

Commissioner Botting added, “We want the criminals to know, we will
arrest you – you can be sure of that. My officers are working tirelessly to
find you and bring you to justice. I want to also appeal to anyone who knows
these criminals friends and family of these criminals to please, for the
benefit of this country, report them- you can do so anonymously. Any tip, no
matter how small could assist in putting these criminals behind bars”.
