TCI: Marine Branch Intercept Sloop
#Providenciales, March 28, 2019 – Turks and Caicos – A total of 86 Haitian Nationals are currently at the Detention Centre following the interception of an illegal vessel on Wednesday, March 27th 2019 around 4:30 p.m.
According to reports, the 34ft blue sloop was intercepted on the southern side of Five Cays Providenciales.
The Marine Branch M/V Sea Guardian escorted the illegal vessel to the South Dock Port containing 71 males, 14 females and 1 minor for processing and repatriation. Three packages of suspected cannabis were seized.
The operation was incident free.
