#TurksandCaicos, March 16, 2018 – Providenciales – A District Police Constable was arrested and charged on Thursday, March 15th, 2018, with nine offences under the Proceeds of Crime Ordinance. The officer was granted bail in the sum of USD$15,000.00 and is currently on suspension. The Officer is scheduled to appear in the Providenciales Magistrate Court on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018.
A Police Constable is under investigation, following allegations of a serious Sexual Assault. On Friday, March 16th, 2018, the Officer was placed on Administrative Leave. The allegations are not offences that were committed recently.
