PUBLIC NOTICE: Restoration of Water Services – Salt Cay, TCI

#TurksandCaicos, March 16, 2018 – Salt Cay – The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Planning in collaboration with the Water Undertaking Unit within the Department of Public Works would like to advise the residents of Salt Cay as well as the general public of the following measures aimed at restoring water services on Salt Cay:

1. Effective Friday 16^th March, 2018, a chartered vessel will deliver water supplies to Salt Cay as a temporary measure
2. A technician will be on the ground as of Tuesday 20^th March, 2018 to repair the Reverse Osmosis unit. When these works are completed and the plant is back online, it is expected that the unit will begin with the immediate water production for distribution to the general public
3. A team from the Public Works Department will also conduct a damage assessment of the storage facilities with the view to begin repair works
4. Funding for these works have been requested and we are now awaiting final approval
