#TurksandCaicos, September 11, 2017 – Providenciales – During the storm, two babies were born said the #TCIHospitals which issued an update Sunday on its facility in Provo and Grand Turk. Cockburn Town Medical in the capital had roof damage, which has been temporarily repaired but both facilities stood strong during the Cat5 hurricane.
Several surgeries were performed explained the hospitals and there were some emergencies. Emergency operation mode remains in effect at both centers, which are using generator power, but Cheshire Hall in Provo will serve obstetrics patients and surgical patients with appointments.
The hospitals will try to reach those individuals, but with telecommunications so gravely affected by #Irma, it is recommended that patients visit either in Provo or Grand Turk. At the Provo hospital, Dialysis immediately resumed, Oncology is on hold and the National Blood Bank is in need of blood; donors can come today from 10am.
