#Turks and Caicos, August 11, 2017 – Providenciales – Monday is the deadline for any application for #migrantworkers and residents to be into the Ministry of Border Control and Employment. A stern measure, announced by Government in the House of Assembly in late July is aimed at regularizing all residents.
It was explained by Deputy Premier Sean Astwood that anyone found to be without legal status or proof that their papers are being processed, will be deported and placed on a stop list, which bars them from even legally entering the country. Individuals without legal status in the Turks and Caicos were asked to leave the country voluntarily.
A ban on all travel visas has also been presented along with a freeze on first time work permit applications.
